Printing /Emailing Articles in EBSCO Databases

Print, Email, Save, Cite tools in CINAHLPRINTING, EMAILING, and SAVING in EBSCO databases

To email, save, or get an automatic citation for any article in an EBSCO database (i.e. Megafile, ERIC, Academic SearchPremier), use the toolbar that runs down the right side of the article record screen.
To find this tool bar, first click on an article title from your search results page.  Then look for a bank of icons on the right with options to print, email, save, cite, etc.

EMAILING

Emailing an article to yourself is a great way to keep track of the article AND the citation.
To Email:
  1. Select the EMAIL icon from the toolbar.
  2. In the email pop-up window
    • Type your email in the "Email to:" space
    • Type a Subject for your email in the "Subject:" space
    • Select APA in the Citation Format drop-down menu
    • Click Send.

PRINTING

To print an article in EBSCO databases,  you must use the print option within the actual full-text article.
To Print:
  1. Click the PDF Full Text or HTML Full Text icon (displayed on the results page or on the left side of the article record page.
  2. Use the Print icon listed in the viewer window.

Printing / Emailing Articles in GALE Databases

PRINTING, EMAILING, and SAVING in GALE databases

To print, email, save, or get an automatic citation for any article in a GALE database (i.e. Academic OneFile, Educator's Reference Complete), use the Tools menu in the top right corner when viewing the article.

Cite - Get the APA-formatted citation of the article​.
Send To - Email an article to yourself.
  • Gale automatically sends the MLA citation when you email an article to yourself.  To send the APA citation with your email, copy the APA citation from the Cite icon and paste it in the message section of the Send To -- Email form.
Download - Save a copy of the article.
Print - Print a copy of the article.
Get Link - Copy a permanent link to the article.
